In the late 1800's, the Chiefs of the Second Order, William Wynn Westcott and MacGregor Mathers, codified the method of play for Enochian chess. This game which was designed to be used both as divination and enterrainment provided even more to the trained Adept. It provided a unique learning experience about the forces and energies that inhabit the elemental planes.

Often called Rosicrucian chess, brethren of the Second Order of the Esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn ® continues to study and employ the forces found in Enochian chess.
